Detailed Insights

The third edition of Kashi Tamil Sangamam (KTS 3.0) aspires to deepen the historic symbiosis between the cultural capitals of Tamil Nadu and Kashi. By convening scholars, students, artisans, and entrepreneurs, the platform creates a two‑way exchange of intellectual and artistic practices. The itinerary deliberately includes pilgrim spectacles—Mahakumbh and Ram Mandir—to illustrate contemporary manifestations of India’s spiritual continuum. Aligning with the National Education Policy 2020, KTS 3.0 foregrounds Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) alongside modern curricula, thereby nurturing a unified national identity among the younger generation.

Participants are divided into five delegations: (i) students, teachers and writers; (ii) farmers and Vishwakarma‑category artisans; (iii) professionals and small‑business owners; (iv) women’s self‑help groups, Mudra‑loan beneficiaries and DBHPS pracharaks; and (v) start‑ups, ed‑tech innovators and researchers. An additional cohort of two hundred Tamil‑origin students from central universities will augment the dialogue, reinforcing the Kashi‑Tamil link.

The centerpiece of the festival is an exhibition dedicated to Sage Agasthyar, whose contributions to Siddha medicine, Tamil literary canon, and Indian philosophical thought remain seminal. Seminars, workshops, and book‑launch events will dissect his oeuvre, bridging ancient wisdom with present‑day scholarly discourse.
