  • Scheme extends the existing Ladli Behna Yojana by adding a male counterpart, “Ladli Bhaiyo.”
  • Additional ₹1,500–₹3,000 per month under Ladli Behna will be given to beneficiaries post‑Diwali and by 2028.
  • Industries in the Acharpura Industrial Area are being prioritized to provide practical training.

Detailed Insights

With a youth population exceeding 15 million, Madhya Pradesh has made reducing unemployment a key policy focus.

Earlier programmes such as Yuva Swabhiman Rojgar Yojana offered cash incentives but were later discontinued due to administrative restructuring.

The present initiative seeks to fill that void, combining financial aid with the promise of on‑site skill acquisition.

The stipend is monetary support for those who enroll in internships with factories, workshops and plants that have signed up to the scheme.

In addition, the programme will provide incremental support through the Ladli Behna Yojana, where women will receive ₹1,500 monthly after Diwali, with a planned rise to ₹3,000 by 2028.

Male participants will receive ₹1,500 as well but under the new “Ladli Bhaiyo” tag.

The development of the Acharpura Industrial Area near Bhopal is part of the broader strategy to align industrial growth with skill development, ensuring that employees gain real‑world experience while receiving a living stipend.

Key Concepts

  • Stipend: Direct cash support provided to interns during their training period.
  • Industrial Internship: Structured work placement within a manufacturing or service firm.
  • Ladli Behna Yojana: A welfare scheme originally designed to empower women, now extended to men.
